Astronomia Oggi, which translates from Italian to English as ‘Astronomy Today’ is a science website covering all the aspects of astronomy. Launched in January 2023, Astronomia Oggi aims to bring you the latest news about the space missions and this vast cosmos.
We are looking for citizen scientists, amateur astronomers and peoples of public having interest in the field of astronomy, to tell us your stargazing stories. We are inviting peoples from all age group to write articles for us on a wide range of topics such as space missions, astrobiology, X-ray astronomy, astrophysics, climate change, basic astronomy resources & guides, the latest news in the field of astronomy.
Your articles will be featured on our social media handles and our official website. The submissions are open now. If you are facing any problems regarding writing an article, then we are just an e-mail away!

Where should I submit my article?
This is one of the main things to keep in mind while preparing your article for the submission. You can submit us your article via an e-mail at: contact.astronomiaoggi@gmail.com. We will get in touch with you as soon as possible!!
How many articles can I submit?
We cannot accept more than 4 articles per month because the article selection process takes time and only then your article will get published on our website and also there are other writers who are waiting for their piece of work to be made live!
Will we accept every article & what are the rules?
The answer depends on your article. If we have already covered this topic before, we might reject it. But good for you, we are starting from scratch which means we have not covered much of the stories yet. We would like to suggest you to search on our site whether we have covered that particular story or not. There is one more reason which might lead your article to the rejection and that is copyright. If we find that the article is a copy of someone else before publishing or after publishing, we might reject it or delete it from our site. So keep these two things I mind and everything will be just fine. We might provide you an editing window, where you can edit your article by rewriting it if copyright violation is found. Use reference links with the piece of information you are inserting in the article, so that we can track the information!
What should be the format of the files?
If you are sending us your article then your file should be of .docx or .pdf format.
What are the rules regarding the submission of picture for the article?
If you are sending us a picture for the article, then we suggest you to send us them in .jpg, .jpeg or .png format. You can send us the picture via E-mail with the link of the image where you get it from. You can edit the picture to include words, arrows to depict or describe a particular object inside the image but you are still asked to send us the link to the original image.
What is the maximum and minimum word limit?
The maximum word limit is 2000 words but it can vary with the topic if it’s an explainer or a space mission follow-up story. The minimum words limit is 300-800 words and it also can vary with the topic. It depends on the writer : )
